KARA and Other Korean Arists Win Awards in the Japan Gold Disc 2013 Competition

KARA, along with several other Korean artists, have won awards within the Japan Gold Disc Award of 2013. 

The Recording Industry Association of Japan has bestowed recognition and reward upon notable and outstanding Korean recording artists.

The Korean winners and their respective awards are:

Best Asian Artist: KARA
Album of the Year: KARA
Best 3 Albums: KARA – “Super Girl” / Jang Geun Suk – “Just Crazy” / Big Bang – “Alive”
Best Music Video : Girls’ Generation – “JAPAN FIRST TOUR GIRLS’ GENERATION”
Best New Artist: B1A4
Best 3 New Artists: IU / B1A4 / Boyfriend
Song of the Year (Downloads): Girls’ Generation – “Paparazzi”

Sales numbers were the basis of awarding, with relevant datum culled from the dates of 1 November 2011 to 31 October 2012.
